Events & Entertainment Branch

The Events Branch lets you sell tickets, manage capacity, and handle registrations for events of any size.

Setting Up Events

Event Definition

For each event, configure:

  • Title and description — What the event is about
  • Date and time — When it takes place (single or multi-day)
  • Location — Physical venue, virtual platform, or hybrid setup
  • Capacity — Maximum attendees
  • Ticket types — General admission, VIP, early bird, or custom tiers
  • Pricing — Per ticket type, including optional free tiers

Ticket Configuration

Create multiple ticket tiers:

  • Tier name and description — What’s included at each level
  • Price — Per-ticket price
  • Quantity — Number available per tier
  • Availability window — When tickets go on sale and when they stop
  • Per-order limits — Maximum tickets per purchase

Event Details

Provide attendees with:

  • Venue address and directions (for in-person events)
  • Virtual event access details (for online events)
  • Schedule/agenda if applicable
  • Preparation requirements or what to bring

Attendee Experience

When someone purchases tickets:

  1. They browse your event page with full details
  2. They select ticket tier and quantity
  3. They complete Stripe checkout
  4. They receive confirmation with event details and tickets
  5. Reminder emails are sent before the event

Managing Events

Your dashboard shows:

  • Ticket sales — Real-time sales numbers by tier
  • Attendee list — Full registration list with contact details
  • Capacity tracking — How close to sold out each tier is
  • Check-in tools — Mark attendees as arrived on event day

Event Types

This Branch supports a wide range of event formats:

  • Concerts, performances, and shows
  • Conferences and meetups
  • Workshops and seminars (larger than typical classes)
  • Social gatherings and community events
  • Virtual webinars and online events

Tips

  • Create urgency. Early bird pricing and limited tiers encourage faster purchases.
  • Provide clear logistics. Attendees need to know exactly where to go and what to expect.
  • Communicate early and often. Send updates leading up to the event to build excitement.
  • Plan for the unexpected. Have a clear refund and cancellation policy published upfront.
